Loaded Baked Potato Soup
Every year after Christmas/New Year I am so full and tired of all the typical holiday fare. Which is why at the end of the holiday vacation I like to make something different to break up the monotony of scarfing down cookies and various cheese dips. I always love making some kind of soup, but which one is the question.
I definitely have some go-to soups, but this particular evening I was feeling the urge to make something new. After perusing the internet looking for recipes I settled on Kelly Senyei's recipe, who is the the creator of the food blog Just a Taste. Once there you’ll find inspiration for all things food and entertaining with endless recipes, step-by-step photo tutorials, and weekly videos featuring tips and tricks to help you save time and up your game in the kitchen. This was definitely a fantastic recipe and I will for sure be making it again in the future. Thanks Kelly!
Head on over to get the recipe for this delicious Loaded Baked Potato Soup! (FYI: I added a 1/4 cup Franks Red Hot for good measure)
Also while over break I was inspired by Baking Steels Facebook page and decided that I wanted to try my hand at making some of my own baguettes to pair with the delicious Loaded Baked Potato Soup. They didn't turn out to shabby! The flavor was pretty spot on, just wasn't quite satisfied with how they looked...lesson learned! One of my of my favorite kitchen tools is definitely my Baking Steel, which are typically known for pizza making. But, it is actually a really versatile tool that not only makes fantastic pizzas, but breads, and can also be used as a griddle. Give the baguette recipe a try!
