I just realized that the only desserts I have ever posted have all been Crème brûlée. Sorry! I just think they are such a fantastic and versatile dessert. Any time I have ever made Crème brûlée it just seems to bring so much satisfaction to the people I am serving. It also gives me the excuse to use my blowtorch, who doesn't love to use a blowtourch? I have always been a huge fan of caramel paired with something salty. Which brings me to my Salted Caramel Crème brûlée. It is a caramel custard and then I used black lava sea salt that I got from myspicesage as part of the caramelized crust.
